My Kind of Liberalism is designed to preserve this important perspective in our national discourse. It is a liberalism that recognizes the need to engage others of different views in an effort to maximize our benefit. This liberalism recognizes that this country, with a very few historical exceptions, is a conservative country that will never emulate the Social Democracy model that was practiced until relatively recently in several Western European nations.
